FRAN MONTAGUE has always been fascinated by human emotions and behaviour. She has over 12 years’ experience producing seminars, workshops and conferences for individuals and groups to teach, inspire and trigger change. Her first business, Simetri Communications (London, UK, 2002), organised motivational and experiential learning programmes. It was awarded “Best Teambuilding Programme” at the 2005 Motivation Awards and “Best Motivational Event” at the Corporate Event Association, 2004. |
| As a natural extension of Simetri, Fran launched sheTIME in 2005 to explore women’s well-being and life-change. Increasingly interested in the impact of the feminine cycle on women’s work and relationships, she included this emphasis in sheTIME events. With support from Alexandra Pope and from the Wise Women Network, her passion gradually shifted to the transformative possibilities of accepting and working with, rather than against, the feminine cycle. | |
A personal note from Fran
At the turn of the millenium, I was lonely, lacking in confidence, directionless, unhappy with my lifestyle, and swinging in and out of control of my emotions. No one knew or suspected this as I was outwardly successful! When I reached my lowest point in 2001 I realised things really weren’t “fine”.I decided that there must be more to life than this, and determined to help myself. I began a journey of self-discovery, education and exploration of the workings of the mind and my own emotions. Slowly but surely, I changed my life around. Since then I have moved on from all my old beliefs about what I want and need in my life, changed the patterns of behaviour that I carried from past experiences and relationships, and learnt how to make myself happier, more self-reliant and peaceful.I have connected with who I am as a woman and have learnt to celebrate emotional and psychological happenings – yes, even those that hit us every month! Looking back on my twenties, I can see that my emotions were greatly affected by the fluctuations I experienced in my stormy monthly cycle. It’s amazing to think that it took me almost twenty years to start to connect fully with this aspect of myself. This exploration has given me knowledge of who I am not just as a person living in this ‘modern’ world, but as a woman. It continues to teach me much about needs and principles, emotional and physical health, and ultimately how I can feel a sense of clarity and peace.
On this journey I have met many amazing women. Teachers and coaches have inspired me with their insight and knowledge. And people who have touched me with their honesty about the insecurities, doubts, troubles and wonders that we all share.
I look forward to meeting or corresponding with you.
With warmest wishes,
Fran
